How weekend EWP training works
Our weekend training structure is designed to ensure you meet all learning requirements in just two days (without cutting corners!).
Pre-course: independent study
Before attending, you’ll complete self-paced study materials covering safety procedures, operational guidelines, and EWP regulations.
Day 1: theory and practical training
A combination of classroom-based learning and hands-on training where you’ll practice operating scissor lifts and boom lifts safely under expert supervision.
To meet the total number of learning hours required, independent study between day 1 and 2 is required.
Day 2: final training and assessment
This is where you demonstrate your skills and complete your final assessment. On successful completion you will be eligible to apply for a WP Class QLD High Risk Work Licence (HRWL), through Workplace Health and Safety QLD (WHSQ).
